The coffee shop Jacksonville locals have called home since 2000.

The Coffee Grinder has been a Baymeadows staple since 2000. We're the spot where regulars know your name and the coffee is always fresh. No corporate feel, no cookie-cutter menu. Your coffee comes in a real mug, the art on the walls is by local artists, and the prices haven't caught up with the rest of town.

From a morning mocha to a frozen java chip at midnight, we're open when other coffee shops have closed. That's been our thing from day one.

Open late, every night

Come by tonight.

We're open until 11:30, and 1:30 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Grab a table and stay a few hours. Nobody's going to rush you.

Don't take our word for it

We don't have customers, we have regulars. Here's what they say.

“The value is really unmatched compared to most coffee shops. It's always a good place to sit and chat or get work done. One of Jacksonville's biggest hidden gems.”
William, Google review
“They serve the food in plates, and the coffee in a mug, making it feel super homey. They also have a bomb playlist!”
Samantha S., Google review

Jim S., Google review
“I have to say this place Feels Like Home to me. Always playing good music, a great mix of cultural and eclectic people.”
Jenn Martinello, Google review

José G., Google review
“I had a craving for a frozen coffee drink late at night and found this gem to be open… The fresh smell of ground coffee when you first walk in just wakes up your senses.”

The vibe is different here

Walk in and you'll smell the coffee before you see the menu. The walls are lined with artwork from local Jacksonville artists. The crowd is a mix of regulars, students, remote workers, and first-timers who all end up coming back.

Cozy, eclectic, and the kind of place that's getting hard to find.

If you are visiting for the first time, give yourself at least 20 minutes to look over all the art on the walls.

Outside, you'll find generous patio seating with over 15 tables. Soak up some sun, check your email or enjoy the night air. Bring your friends, and your dog.
